Through The Lens Thursday is a one-year photography project (now in its second year), where every week, my project partner, Greta of GFunkified and I, will post a picture (or pictures) we have taken based on a prompt. Our hope is that together, we can teach and learn from each other, stay accountable to our goal of improving our skills, and hopefully, be taking some gorgeous photographs.
This week’s prompt is Baked.
Many years ago, I made carrot muffins which were such a failure, I shied away from making them for 6 years. SIX YEARS WITHOUT MUFFINS.
They are now my favorite go-to baked goods when I have a craving for baked goods. Which is er, all the time. I love them because they are quick to make, doesn’t need a ton of ingredients (just things that should already be in your pantry), and you don’t need a mixer.
I whipped these up just for this prompt on a weekday morning, in between getting ready the boys for school and the twins out of bed. If I can pull this off with four kids, you know just how easy it is (I can’t tell you how much I love easy recipes.)
I adapted this recipe for Browned Butter French Breakfast Muffins from Cooking Classy.
Next week’s prompt is Yellow.
For the full list of prompts, check out my Through The Lens Thursday page. If you’d like to join Greta and I, but not necessarily blog your picture, join our Flickr group, where we upload our photos, and give comments, or helpful critique on each other’s photographs.
