Through The Lens Thursday is a one-year photography project, where every week, my project partner, Greta of GFunkified and I, will post a picture (or pictures) we have taken based on a prompt. Our hope is that together, we can teach and learn from each other, stay accountable to our goal of improving our skills, and hopefully, be taking some gorgeous photographs.
This week’s prompt is “Hot”.
Shot with a Canon EOS Rebel SL!
1/30, f/1.8, ISO 6400
I don’t have a story for this photo. Except it’s been a rough week with terrible weather (if you can call it that). The smog (or haze as we call it here) was so bad and unhealthy, we had to stay indoors. My plans to shoot outside, to shoot the hot weather, were thwarted.
I took this shot at night, with the lights off, and risked melting my camera by going in fairly close.
The things we do for art. And our blogs.
How was your week?
(What do you think of my ‘hot’ photo? This IS a photography exercise, so I would appreciate any critique!)
Next week’s prompt: Dark
For the full list of prompts, check out my Through The Lens Thursday page. If you’d like to join Greta and I, but not necessarily blog your picture, join our Flickr group, where we upload our photos, and give comments, or helpful critique on each other’s photographs.
Comment on any two posts on my blog in March, and stand a chance to win one 30-day 150×150 sidebar ad! Find out more here.
