I’m Looking Forward To…….

posted in: Life, List of 10 100 comments

A little light Monday reading for you, my friends. I was planning to publish a fairly introspective post, which I’ve been working on in my head for a few days. But every time I sit down to write it, I get interrupted and when I get back to it, I just can’t seem to get the words to flow. It’s like a half writer’s block. Most annoying.

1. Fall TV! Grimm, Arrow, The Big Bang Theory, Chicago Fire, Criminal Minds, CSI, Elementary, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Modern Family, Once Upon A Time, The Walking Dead – TV much? Do you think I’ll have time to blog?

2. Daily ME time, when the littlest starts play school next week. What shall I do with myself? Top of my list – write and read. Do yoga. Maybe, start running again. And er, catch up on my favorite TV shows.

3. My next manicure/ pedicure, whenever that is.

4. A new haircut.

5. Trying new recipes from my various Pinterest boards.

6. The toddler’s growing vocabulary. It’s astounding and exciting.

7. Getting better at photography.

This was taken in Fremantle, Western Australia

This was taken in Fremantle, Western Australia

8. Doing more freelance writing (fingers crossed).

9. A new Erin Condren Life Planner (time to start shopping!).

10. The birth of my nephew in November.

Linking up with Stasha for Monday Listicles.

What are you looking forward to this Fall?

I think that is a great list. It’s sad when they are growing up and go to school, but then it’s also wonderful to have that time to yourself. what’s a manicure and pedicure? I’ve heard that before, somewhere. lol…sounds lovley

What a great list! Yes to TV. I cried when Dexter ended last night. I have issues. You are definitely getting awesome at photography. Love that simple picture…it speaks volumes! I wish I had the motivation to bake. I need to hire someone to do that for me…in my dreams.
Yes to the running! Just do it.

No more Dexter. SIGH. I wasn’t thrilled with the ending either. SIGH.
      I make time to bake – I’ve baked at 10.30pm 🙂

  • Cocooning is what I look forward to most. Just staying inside and letting the world whirl by. Spending more time with my girls now that I work Part time.
And pumpkins, I look forward to pumpkins and all the other awesome fall vegetables.

HA! I had the same problem writing the post that I had planned for today. Thank goodness for Stasha. Oh manicure and pedicure would be lovely. I realized that I don’t watch a ton of TV and/or I’m really behind and don’t know anything about the new (as in new in the past 2 years) shows. And that photo is gorgeous. I really want to focus on photography too. Soon I hope.

How fabulous are those life planners? I am such a sucker for stuff like that and office supplies in general, I have to check them out.
Also? Grimm won’t be back until Oct. 25th – I’m outraged; it’s the one I’m looking forward to most 🙂

  • September 23, 2013 Lady Jennie

    You’re already good at photography!

I have not seen a single of those TV shows. We are in the dark ages. I’m going to get Castle when my sister comes because we like those light series where one episode doesn’t depend on another.

  • September 23, 2013 Tamara

I share a few with you! One, I desperately need a haircut. It’s scheduled for Saturday morning and I might not make it.
I’m excited for brown boots and skinny jeans.
    Photography, of course!
Fall TV – always my favorite. I have no idea how I’ll keep up, but I’ll find a way.
And the vocabulary thing! Des is 15 months and just hit an explosion. I remember that with Scarlet, there are explosions and then long plateaus. Right now he has dozens of words and he even sings! I guess he has to make up for the fact that the boy is still not walking without holding onto things.

it’s wicked cold here girl and i would love to wrap up in my blankie and watch some fall premiers.

play school? man that sounds fun.
i thought when damian started school i’d have more peace, quiet, and time to get things done. i’ve been doing nothing but running around these past two weeks and when i’m not running and trying to work, there’s…Tash.
what does tash do when damian’s not around to talk to? she talks to me, every single second. only way to quiet her is to give her my android or a yogurt with a side of spongebob. and even then the kid cracks up and squeals constantly.
Me time…man i can’t foresee a day for me anytime soon. oh wait! next year, when tash goes to school too. 345 days let.

  • September 23, 2013 Nicole

Love your list and love that photo from Australia. Just beautiful and definitely frame-worthy! I’m looking forward to all of the fun activities that come with the fall season. Jumping in huge piles of leaves, going to the pumpkin patch, hay rides, lots of hot cider and hot chocolate, pulling out my favorite fleeces and long-sleeved tees, and toddler jeans. There is nothing cuter than toddler jeans. Especially if the back pockets are heart-shaped!!

I literally think about everyday how many days it is until The Walking Dead starts again. How sad is it that one of my fall goals is to watch MORE television? I can’t wait for The Good Wife and Modern Family too. It sounds like you’re going to have a fantastic fall!

I’m looking forward to sweaters (although, admittedly, I never put them away. I wear them year-round) but I’m looking forward to MORE. I’m looking forward to Halloween and Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to my birthday next week (the dreaded 40 that I’m guessing I should be dreading more?). But most of all, I’m looking forward to a warm house, a fire, tea, and a book on Friday nights.
