Old School Blogging: The Alphabet Edition

posted in: Life, Old School Blogging, Random 101 comments

Old School Blogging is back and it’s a fun alphabet edition (great for if you’re stuck for blogging inspiration). This month, Elaine is hosting this with Jennifer, do check out their posts!

A. Attached or Single?

Attached to this guy!

Father and baby

One of my favorite pictures ever, of 7 month old Monkey with the husband.

B. Best Friend?

The guy above!

C. Cake or pie?

Cake. I’ve never liked pie.

D. Day of choice?

Saturday.

E. Essential Item?

My purse. I’m always looking to make sure I have it when I leave the house.

F. Favorite color?

Yellow. It used to be black. It must be age because black isn’t so cool when you’re 36.

G. Gummy bears or worms?

I am obsessed with Haribo GoldBears.

H. Hometown?

Ipoh. A small city in Malaysia, 2 hours north of where I am now.

I. Favorite Indulgence?

Me time with a book, coffee and chocolate.

J. January or July?

July, for no particular reason.

K. Kids?

These two.

Brothers with cake

I think the boys share my love for cake.

L. Life isn’t complete without?

The two kids.

M. Marriage date?

November 15, 2007.

N. Number of brothers/sisters?

Two brothers, one sister.

O. Oranges or Apples.

Apples.

P. Phobias?

Worms. Gross.

Q. Quotes?

I am a quote collector. Choosing a favorite one is impossible. This one resonates with me at this moment though.

Your beliefs don't make you a better person- your behavior does

R. Reasons to smile?

The kids. Chocolate. The return of Dexter and True Blood this month.

S. Season of choice?

I live in year-round tropical weather, but if I had to choose a season to travel somewhere? Autumn.

T. Tag 5 People.

Natalie, Rach, Tinne, Jennifer and Michelle!

U. Unknown fact about me?

I danced ballet as a kid. Then I quit when I was 7 because I didn’t like my teacher.

V. Vegetable?

Cucumbers.

W. Worst habit?

Checking for and pulling out white hair. It’s disheartening but I can’t stop!

X. Xray or Ultrasound?

I’ve only ever had good experiences with ultrasounds so let’s stick with that.

Y. Your favorite food?

I’ll go with types of cuisine otherwise we’ll be here all day. I love Thai food, Japanese food, Chinese food, Indonesian food. I also love french fries, all kinds of breakfast-type food, and of course I love desserts of all kinds (except pie).

Z. Zodiac sign?

Leo.

So fun! If you want to play along, do! Copy and paste the questions here, write your post and link up with Elaine on her blog!

Give me your R: What are your Reasons to smile?

Oh my! I’m cracking up about the favorite color. I could say the EXACT same thing. I was all about black being my favorite color when I was a teen, and Now? YELLOW! It’s bright, happy, hopeful. It’s everything I need. 😉 When I was in 6th grade, I had a lock box for my for diary. It was like one of those fireproof thingys. (Who knows where I got it, but I guess it wasn’t black enough for my adolescent rebellion. I wrote the word “black” all over it in black puffy paint. Oh, the irony of being dark and mysterious via puffy paint. Bahaha!!!
