My Life In Numbers

posted in: Link Up, Lists 90 comments

Greta of GFunkified did a fun and clever post of her life in numbers, so I’m copying her of course. And linking to her linky.

Here’s my life in numbers, in a stream of consciousness sort of way.

2 – Children.

500 – kisses for my boys a day.

20 – Hi’s to the toddler.

9 – Years of having known my husband.

5 – Years of marriage.

3 – Siblings.

3 – Cars I’ve owned.

4 – Cars I’ve driven (my current car is not really mine, it’s my husband’s old car).

1 – Sports car I’ve owned and driven.

3 – Motorcycles my husband has owned.

15.5 – Years of formal education.

10 – Years experience in the working world.

33 – Years of owning a passport.

25 – Sippy cups, drinking/ milk bottles we own. I know, it’s a lot.

7 – Loads of laundry a week.

2 – Showers a day.

3 – Average change of clothes the baby goes through.

27 – Years of short-sightedness.

60 – Pairs of shoes (I think) that I own.

1 – Pair of shoes I actually wear all the time.

5 – Cities that I’ve lived in.

2 – Countries that I’ve lived in.

5.5 – Years I’ve been on Facebook.

20 – Months I’ve been blogging.

5 – Average number of hours I sleep a night.

2 – Average number of consecutive hours I sleep a night.

0 – Red lipsticks I have right now.

0 – Number of times I wear lipstick in a week.

2 – Years since I’ve worn lipstick.

8 – Days since I last shaved my legs.

1 – Cup of coffee a day.

7 – Months since my last vacation.

14 – Days until a REALLY big giveaway!

So fun! You should do this too, and link up with Greta.

Give me a number – how many Β cups of coffee or tea do you drink a day?

HOLD UP. You’ve been blogging for less than two years?! I would’ve guessed, like, four. I drink on average, now, that the number has crept back up….3 cups of coffee a day. But, I add an extra shot of instant coffee to two of those cups usually. So….

I’m not a big lipstick wearer, either. I have several, and I’ve always wanted to pull off a red lip. But it gets all flaky and worn off and it’s just too high maintenance for me. I’m a lip/cheek stain girl usually.

I love that you joined in on this, and loved reading your numbers!

I drink 3 cups of tea a day. Usually one chai, one green and one iced, sweet tea. Love me some tea!!

3 cups is pretty good. I drink a lot of tea. Only one cup of coffee in the morning, but numerous cups of tea. I didn’t put that number down because I’m a) embarrassed and b) have no idea how many. Heh.

  • November 19, 2012 Courtney Kirkland

I drink about half a cup of coffee a day. It’s rare that I finish an entire cup because something (or rather someone) tends to interrupt me when I’m trying to get my coffee on and I just don’t finish it. LOL And I don’t own or wear red lipstick, either.

It’s a shame, I’ve taken to heating up my coffee when it inevitably gets cold, heh.

  • November 19, 2012 Laura at Mommy Miracles

These days it is usually three. I always start with a coffee in the morning, and usually have something hot at night (tea). The middle of the day is usually a second coffee, a fancy Starbucks drink (usually with at least 3 shots) or a tea latte.

Does your husband currently own a motorcycle? Mine did until shortly after Cameron was born. He started to realize that for now it just isn’t a practical mode of transportation. (Sold it to my Dad).

Yes, my husband currently still has one bike – it’s an off road KTM, he doesn’t ride on the roads! He only likes riding in the jungle or the desert. I know, cray cray.

I loved Greta’s post and copied it, too πŸ™‚ Lots of fun. I’m not sure when I last wore any makeup, much less lipstick. My husband and I argue periodically about the fact that I have probably 20-25 pairs of shoes and regularly wear about 5 pairs. I tell him that I think that’s a pretty low number compared to a lot of women, and he thinks I’m crazy.

  • November 19, 2012 Kim

Fun! I drink 2 cups of coffee a day, possibly less depending on how cold I let the second one get as I forget about it periodically. And red lipstick – or a lipstick in the red family – is my favourite. I rarely wear makeup, but when I go out, I do throw on some lipstick – makes me feel ready to face the world, somehow.

Lipstick does have the power to transform outside and in, doesn’t it?

I just don’t have the discipline to wear lipstick – as soon as it gets eaten off (hah!), I am too lazy to reapply. Also, with such young kids, it’s more a hindrance!
