Congratulations to two linkers, Sarah of little white whale and Christine of Random Reflectionz, you’ve won yourself a Visions of Vinyl decal! Thank you for linking up with Galit and I. Everyone, mark these dates for the next Memories Captured link up – September 10 to 14!
You are three months old (and a bit).
You are 14 pounds, 8 ounces and nearly 24 inches tall.
You are smiling and giggling.
You are rolling on your side and trying to sit up.
You like to push up with your legs.
By all accounts, it appears that you’re in a hurry to grow up.
I think it’s because you see your big brother running around, doing things that you can watch from the sidelines.
You want to jump in and join in.
You love your big brother.
Your eyes light up, your mouth curls up into a smile when you see him, and when you don’t, you search for him when you hear his voice.
Much as I can’t wait to see you play together, I ask you one thing, my baby boy.
Don’t be in a rush to grow up.
Take it one day at a time.
Because I am.
I’m taking in every cuddle. Every smile. Every kiss. Every milestone you come to.
I’m enjoying everything about your babyhood that I didn’t quite manage to with your brother.
I was too busy worrying about this thing or that thing.
Silly Mama.
Now, I know better. This is the gift your brother gave to us.
He taught me it’s okay to slow down and savor the small moments, that there really is nothing to worry about.
So here I am, celebrating you at 3 months.
I love you Scrumplet, with the whole of my being.
xo, Mama
Now, it’s your turn to capture a memory and link up from August 13 to 17 (linky closes at 9.00 PM Eastern). Galit and I look forward to seeing what you’ve captured!
Our sponsor this month is the fabulous Visions in Vinyl, who create gorgeous vinyl decals for your home. Two lucky linkers will win a decal worth $30 each (including shipping)! Winners will be chosen via random.org.

He is the cutest thing ever. Reminds me of my boys when they were younger – smushy and smily and happy and giggling. It is a true gift that older sibling give us, isn’t it? And how is it that he is 3 months old already?
Christine recently wrote…Memories Captured: 3 years old
I know, 3 months! Wait, what? And I still remember lamenting how SLOW my pregnancy was
He is so-very-smushy.
Such a sweetie! And those are the very same things I hope I’m able to stop and enjoy with baby #2 that I sometimes was too quick to gloss over with #1. Happy 3 months to your adorable little Scrumplet!
Amanda recently wrote…10 Things My Parents Did Right
Oh you will, you will!
Speaking of baby #2 – isn’t he already overdue? Come on baby!
Oh he is such a love, isn’t he?
Way to savor, mama. You’re a smart one!

Smart now, not so much then. Thank goodness for second chances

Getting a little teary eyed over this. He is such a cutie.
And isn’t it wonderful to see the love between your kids?
My daughters first word was not Mommy or daddy, but the name of her big brother.
I’m glad to see you enjoying every moment.
Mirjam recently wrote…Wealthy
Aw, thank you Mirjam. It is wonderful to watch the two of them, especially now that the toddler doesn’t try to hit the baby anymore. He strokes his head and says Hi baby all the time, it’s adorable.
Just look at those cheeks! Give that Scrumplet a kiss from me!

I can’t believe it’s been 3 months already! He is adorable and I love that years from now, you’ll be able to read this and see where he was at this time. I wish I had done that for my kids.

This is why I blog. Love it.
I felt that way, too! I enjoyed the baby stage more with D, because I wasn’t so worried about doing the “right” things. Scrumplet is Scrumptious
angela recently wrote…Fate, Dreams, and The Night Circus
Hee! Scrumptious he is.
He’s such a cutie, Alison – I love his chubbiness.
Katie E recently wrote…Memories Captured: Back to School
Thank you Katie! I love his chubbiness too – I squeeze his thighs all the time, heh.
Just look at all that chubby deliciousness!
Dwija {House Unseen} recently wrote…7 Quick Takes: Paul Simon is the Greatest
He and Mary are chunky chubbies aren’t they?
I love the baby rolls! (Why is that not as cute on adults??)
I’m slowing down more to enjoy each moment too. I’m so glad, because I know it will pass before I can blink.
Kimberly recently wrote…A Returned Smile
If it was as cute on adults, dude, I’ll be SO adorable!!
Yes, these times will pass too quickly. Sigh.
How do you not dip him in your chai tea and eat him?! He is so sweet!
And it truly is wonderful that our first borns give us the gift of reminding to slow down.
Enjoy every very sweet moment!
Kristen recently wrote…Birthday Self Photo
That made me laugh – dipping him into my tea and eating him!! He IS irresistible.
I am enjoying each moment. Truly.
SOOOOO CHUNKY!!!!! I want to “sniff kiss” him, lol!!!!! It’s been awhile since I’ve linked up so I might just have to bc I’ve got a great photo!!!

He’s incredibly cute! And the t-shirt already says it all
Love the “patient”!
Kerstin recently wrote…In the moment
He is patient – mostly because he has to be. Mama can’t run to him at a drop of a hat
Signs of a hormonal pregnant woman? This post reduced me to tears. I love it!! Time goes way too fast. It really does. He is absolutely adorable. xo

Aw, sorry you silly preggo!
And thank you, he IS pretty cute.
We both posted “month” posts about our babies today! Sigh…how are they getting so big? But I can relate to this because I am enjoying it and being more slow and deliberate about it all this time too.
Enjoy that chubby handsome man!
Katie recently wrote…The Birdman Groweth
I don’t know how they’re getting so big so quickly, where IS that pause button??
I can tell you’re enjoying it, and I love that.
Yes, yes – no hurry!
What a chubby cutie. I wish you lived closer so I could squeeze those little legs.
My youngest is now getting so tall and thin – losing all his baby fat.
Lady Jennie recently wrote…Paris, By Car
I know about the tall and thin thing – Monkey is all lean and arms and legs now. Sigh.
Reading your post reminded me of my boys when they were younger. The youngest being in a hurry and wanting to jump right in. He is 3 now, and I am still seeing that to this day, in fact. Brother love is a powerful thing.
Co-Pilot Mom recently wrote…Images of a Vacation
Oh yes it is! He stops crying when he sees his big brother – it’s like magic.
*sigh*
Your posts give me such goosebumps. Beautiful. I am so glad to hear you are enjoying each moment and that you’ve learned to cherish both of your babies in completely different but incredibly loving ways.
XOXO. I’ve missed you tremendously. Going to catch up now. Hope you are enjoying your summer!
Charlotte recently wrote…fragile
Thank you Charlotte. Yes, completely different ways, but with a lot of love, definitely. Have missed you too, hope you’ve had a wonderful summer!
He is honestly one of the CUTEST babies I have ever seen!! I am so glad you are soaking it all up, because with that 2nd one it goes SO FAST!! Squeeze those squishy baby thighs for me!

Oh my goodness he looks so grown up! Is he technically still a newborn? Because he looks so alert and wise.
Rach (DonutsMama) recently wrote…And Then We Went to the Grocery Store
I was just wondering when newborn stops being newborn.
I guess when they’re sitting up propped and gurgling at the appropriate moments? Also, mammoth at nearly 15 pounds?
Like everyone else… what 3 months?
I love his chunkiness.

Oh goodness he is cute. And the details about his reaction to his big brother?
Priceless.
Karly’s first word was Jack.
She still loves him more than any other friend and he feels the same
(even though they don’t admit it out loud).
Yes. It’s a gift in the best sense.
And you are brilliant to know this already.
julie gardner recently wrote…Today call me back
I cannot wait for Scrumps’ first word to be his brother’s name. How awesome is that? Love this sibling love.
Also? SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK. xo
Oh, he’s such a cutie! I love that picture and all the words you’ve used to describe him! I must link up this month with Memories Captured! No excuses!

Doh, what a cutie! Wow, three months. I remember waiting for your birthy updates like it was yesterday! What a sweet scrumplet you have. And I DO plan on linking up with you. Waiting to snap some good pics in the next few days and get a post up

Oh my gosh, those cheeks! I die…
Elaine A. recently wrote…Reunited and it feels so good…
Right???
Yes. The part about enjoying EVERY single moment of motherhood and the baby stage was the part that stuck out the most to me. I remember with Noah I was so focused on hitting milestones, reaching that next phase and doing things like we were “supposed” to that I think a lot of his new baby moments were overlooked. I’m definitely planning to slow down and enjoy each moment this time.
Courtney Kirkland recently wrote…25 Week Bumpdate

Your little Scrumplet has given me baby fever. I’ve already told my husband we need to add on to the house so I can take a baby home from the hospital when I work there…well, I wouldn’t just take one off the shelves, I’d make sure his mommy was back in the crack house.
Sandra recently wrote…Passion versus life
Haha! Good luck with that
He is just the cutest but holy hell, where did three months go?

Aw, I heart him too, and yes, 3 months, eek!
I’ve kept quiet long enough! Sometimes I am skimming posts and updates on my cell and commenting is just not easy to do, finally I’m online and I can rave about his cuteness! Too adorable. And lovin’ those thighs! I know we can only say this for a short window of time, so I’m taking advantage of that now!
Leah aka FFPMaMMa recently wrote…Pule’s Progress: Daddy’s Home!

Love those cheeks! Wow!
The second babies really do want to do everything big brothers and sisters do. Seems like they grow up even faster because of it. So savor away!
May recently wrote…Breezeway
His cheeks are totally nom-worthy. And yes, it does seem to me like he’s growing up way faster than his brother. Sigh.
He’s just adorable. I love seeing your pics on Instagram. I love when babies reach this chunky stage and all you want to do is cuddle them and pinch those cheeks and thighs!!!

3 months?! Where does time go? He is so adorable. I just love those sweet chubby cheeks! G was always watching B from such a young age as well. It is so heart warming to see them play together and enjoy each other. Now, there are times when they don’t enjoy each other so much and that’s well . . . not so fun, but the good totally out weighs the yucky!
Oh PS Baby M was 13 pounds at her 6 month check up . . . it’s amazing how differently babies grow!
Erin recently wrote…I’m Still Here
Oh yes, I think the good of siblinghood definitely outweighs the not so good
My babies grow exponentially in the first 6 months, then they taper off. My eldest is all lean arms and legs now, and he was a chunky one!
What happened? Weren’t you just pregnant? He is a beauty — and a linebacker too.
Jamie recently wrote…Leaving the dorm.
