My ‘Chair’

A few weeks ago, I showed you where I blog.

Mama Kat asks this week where we plant our backside and why.

Much has changed in 6 weeks.

Toy lion using laptop

New laptop (I love this MacBook Air!) because someone screwed up my Dell’s keyboard. I’m not naming names but he’s about 3 feet tall….

Same sofa, different spot. Now I’m nearly 7 months pregnant, I need a more comfortable spot with better back support.

Yes, I’m hairier. Like my new look? (The husband set this shot up while I was putting the toddler to bed. Yes, we’re a fun household!)

Well, I know pregnancy hormones made my grow a bit more hair but yours are a little out of control 😉

Congrats on the new computer, seeing as it is a significant step up from a Dell maybe you should thank the un-named 3 foot tall person who beat up the Dell 🙂

Haha! My sister accused me of setting the whole “let’s splash water on Mama’s laptop so Papa will get her a new one” incident!

I know, the hair is a little er, all over the place 🙂

Your blogging spot (from the previous post) looks so comfy! I recently re-arranged my family room to include a desk where I could do my blogging. It’s all pretty and Pottery Barn-like and is set against a window with a beautiful view of the field behind our house, but the chair I’m using is just so damn uncomfortable! It’s one of my dining room chairs and I’m just using it until I can afford to buy a new one. But I’ve quickly learned that comfort (and seating) can make or break even the most serene writing spots.

Oh yes, comfort is key. I loved my previous spot (also because it was easy for me to get on and off) but my back was killing me. Hence the new spot! I hope you get an awesome new chair soon.

I have comfy spot envy right now. I blog/play on the computer/waste time at the dining room table – which can cause problems.

    • March 1, 2012 Alison

I used to sit at the dining table at our old place – we don’t even have a dining set right now! 🙂

And love the computer. Sweet! And you’re a Mac convert – yay!

The couch is the best spot, isn’t it?

I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m a ‘convert’ though I’m kinda in love with the Mac Air right now. I can still use a PC though (I keep saying that to my husband who teases me about being “one of those Mac snobs”)!

  • March 1, 2012 Anjie

Ugh, my Dell recently bit the dust too! I would desperately love to upgrade to a Mac Book, but that just won’t happen. Congratulations!

Also, I think you’re super cute! Can I give you a hug?? 😉

Thank you! I was lucky – the husband had the Macbook Air lying around unused. He had bought it for work, but found that he wasn’t really using it.

      And yes, hugs are accepted!

it’s winter – you can be forgiven for not shaving.

And this daddy needs a new laptop. Now where’s my daughter to screw up my keyboard when I need her?
Pop recently wrote…The Great Muffin Craving of 2012My Profile

    • March 2, 2012 Alison

Haha, you can always splash some water on the keyboard and blame your daughter.

Oops did I say that out loud?

  • March 2, 2012 Arnebya

I’m giggling b/c my husband does this, sit random dolls in places that’ll give me start upon entering a room. Some of them are already possessed anyway, singing or talking when we walk by. Um, look here voodoo dolls, I’ma need y’all to take the crazy someplace else; I’ve got enough already.

My Dell is about to die. I feel it telling me as it moves slower and slower that our time together is short. Thing is — I can’t afford to buy a new one anytime soon so I need laptop life support.

    • March 2, 2012 Alison

Ack, sorry about the dying laptop. Mine was dying for a while before the keyboard conked out and the husband finally said, here, use the MacBook that’s been lying around unused (yee haw).

My husband and I are now putting the lion in various positions around the house – next stop, his truck. Muahahaha.

Adorable! You look adorable, too! I’m glad you like your MAC Book air. I still have the clunky lap top, but it’s loaded up and souped up to the gills! However, I do so much photo editing, that next year, I’m gonna have to get a big screen (we won’t mention my poor, tired, OLD eyes!)

Ooh aah-ing over the Macbook Air!! How’re you liking it? I’ve been thinking of makin’ the big switch from the good ole PC to Mac… Of course I’m intimidated, sorta like moving from blogger to WP 😉

Has it been 7 month ALREADY?!?! It seemed only yesterday when you announced you were expecting your second! I know it probably feels like forever for you who’re going through it, but honestly, for me, gosh, time flies!!!

I love it! It’s an easy transition for me as I’ve been using Macs and Apple products off and on over the past few years. Plus, there are some tricks you can learn that will make using a Mac ALMOST similar to a PC. You’ll get used to it very quickly!

And yes, it does feel like a long time since I found out about pregnancy #2! But I know the last few weeks will just rush by.

  • Because ‘someone’ did not think that getting WIFI would be a good investment, a decision ‘someone’ now regrets very much since his wife started blogging since she is always hogging the internet under the pretext that ‘this post will not come up right’ but is actually browsing ‘Cakewrecks’, I have to blog at the dining room table. Which is not comfortable.
