Wordful Wednesday: The Toddler

posted in: Monkey My Son, Wordful Wednesday 0 comments

What do I see when I look at you?

Your eyes, full of life and sparkle. Fun and mischievous. Dark, dark brown. Like mine, your mother.

Your eyebrows. Strong and full. Assertive. Accentuates your frowns. Like his, your father.

Your nose. Cute and pert. Rubbed red when you’re annoyed with something. A habit all of your own.

Your mouth. Full and rosy. Pulled easily into a smile. A smile like your father’s.

Your hair. Soft and brown. Straight yet unmanageable. Not like mine, not like your father’s.

Your personality. Playful. Happy. Stubborn. Determined. Curious. Loving. Affectionate. Demanding. Spirited. All your own.

I see you. I see love.Β
