VlogTalk = VlogSing

posted in: Vlogging 0 comments

If you decide not to come back to my blog after this, I will understand.

I have committed a sin.

One of completely butchering a classic song, You Are My Sunshine.

I am sorry.

Jessica made me (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) for this week’s VlogTalk prompt #1:

Get your song on. Karaoke, rap, country, rock, whatever you want as long as you are performing in front of the camera.

So I did.

What song would you have chosen to sing for VlogTalk (if you haven’t already)?

Can we hang out and butcher songs together??

You did great! Now you need a foil cross to complete the look! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the vote of confidence, twin. Next time, I’ll be sure to wear some bling to distract from the fact that I CANNOT SING.

  • August 4, 2011 mom2kiddos

Hey, that’s actually good singing, except for that one high note. I would have sung Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – so that I can do the actions as well.

You know, I usually hit that high note. I was too lazy to record again though so I just went with an imperfect rendition. Er, no I’ll leave the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star actions to the kids.

1, you’re very brave, 2, that was actually really good, and 3, your little boy is lucky to have a mama who knows the words to such a great little song for kids!

Bravo! Encore! You did great…it’s real hard to to sing in front of people! I used to be my church’s cantor and on an average day…no problem! But singing funerals – which are heart wrenching – is so difficult. I just tried to remember that music can lift people up.

Good for you for stepping out there!

You need to come and join me & my sisters for karaoke! Plenty of margaritas, guacamole and salsa…and tons of fun!

You are brave to sing for VlogTalk. That’s one area I would avoid because I suck at it. You, on the other hand, did a fine job. I think you rocked it.

You are braver than I. I would NEVER attempt to sing on video…although my next vlog MAY or may not involve some nudity.

If I were going to sing, I think it would have to be a classic. Something like “Pop That Pussy” by Two live Crew. Too much?

How precious. And brave! You go with your bad self! So my daughter was sitting here with me when I played your vlog post and she asked me to do “freeze dance” with your song. Turn it on, she dances, press pause, she freezes. Turn it on, she dances, press pause, she freezes. And on, and on. I think that’s a compliment.
