Why BlogHer should come to Southeast Asia

posted in: Blogging, BlogHer, Humor 0 comments

I promise, this will be the last post I write about NOT going to BlogHer ’11.

Anyhoo, I know I will probably never make it to a BlogHer conference. It’s too far away, it’d cost too much, if I did go, what do I do with my toddler, what trouble will my husband get up to, how much should I pack……you see what I mean? It’s never going to happen for me.

Unless BlogHer comes to Southeast Asia. Along with all of you. How fun would that be???

BlogHer, these are the reasons you should come to Southeast Asia.

We have the best resorts

You can meditate near a river. Do yoga on the beach. Swim in the middle of a paddy field. Ride elephants. Enjoy sitting in your room with a view. Indulge in a spa treatment with the petals of 500 roses.

What? What conference?

Clockwise from top left: Four Seasons Resort, Bali at Sayan, Four Seasons Resort, Chiangmai, Thailand, Four Seasons, Tented Camp, Thailand, Four Seasons Resort, Langkawi, Malaysia,  A rose petal spa treatment at Ayana Resort, Bali

We have the best shopping destinations

From street markets and bazaars to high end shopping malls, we have everything you need. And we have it cheap.

What? You don’t have time to shop?

Top: Chatuchak Market, Bangkok, Thailand Left to right: Central Market, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ion Orchard Mall, Singapore

AND, we have this.

Really, need I say more?

This post is tongue in cheek, written just for fun.

I’m not really going to petition BlogHer to come to Asia.

However, I still think you should come visit me.

If BlogHer was to be held in Southeast Asia, would you attend? (Just for fun, assume cost is not an issue)

Even if BlogHer wasn’t in Asia, I’d love to visit you! We could make our own conference (read: go shopping, eat chocolate, chat each others ears off and laugh all day long). Le sigh. Hopefully one day!
